How to Write the Perfect Cover Letter
The side benefit of conveying your personality in your cover letter is that if they don’t hire you because of your personality, then they were unlikely to be a good fit for you!
A standout piece of advice. I know it’s hard to accept it when you’re so desperate for a job, but seriously, don’t accept a job in a toxic work environment. If your interview tells you your future coworkers are dysfunctional or humorless, hold out. And if you don’t make it that far, don’t despair: the right fit could be just around the corner.
I started at my library as an intern but I would just like to add that the first line of my cover letter was, “My first library memories include a stone hippo.”
