Have you had the chance to see Hope Springs with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones yet? A fun fact for us is that a lot of it was filmed at a home right here in Darien.
So here is some kismet for you. Last night at our Adult Summer Reading Grand Finale Party, the patron whose name was drawn from 1000s of names to win an iPad also just happens to be the owner of said Hope Springs house.
So I first asked her, “WHAT IS MERYL LIKE?” She told me Meryl is nice, gracious, and beautiful. I forgot to ask her what Tommy Lee Jones is like because MERYL. The patron agreed to come to the library when we screen the movie and conduct a Q&A session about what it was like to have them film in her home for a month. Kismet right there. Plus I just told her she won an iPad so she probably would have agreed to anything at that point.
