Cooooool new thing: on Monday, we got new scanners on our self-checks that are capable of reading barcodes on smartphones. This means you can now use your phone to check out books (and magazines and DVDs, etc)! Learn more in the video above.
Besides being convenient, using your phone to check out a book is a fun “oh man we almost live in the future” moment. Highly recommended.
